The Outdoor Backpacker
Ziro Festival of Music is Northeast India's best-known outdoor music festival, held every year in the Ziro Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, a UNESCO Tentative Site home to the Apatani tribe. Set against pine-covered hills and paddy fields, the festival brings together indie, folk, and alternative musicians from across India and abroad for four days of live performances, camping, and valley life. Entry is free, but travel, permits (Inner Line Permit required for Arunachal Pradesh), and stay need to be arranged separately. If you're joining with us, we handle the permit paperwork, transport from Guwahati/Itanagar, and stay in and around the valley.
