Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Guwahati to Dirang

We pick you up from Guwahati and begin the drive toward Dirang. The route winds through river valleys and the changing landscapes of West Kameng as the plains give way to hills. We reach Dirang by evening and check in. Overnight stay in Dirang. Distance: approx. 320 km | Travel time: 8-9 hrs

Day 2

Dirang to Tawang via Sela Pass

After breakfast, we continue toward Tawang over the breathtaking Sela Pass, stopping briefly at Sela Lake along the way. En route we visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial before arriving in Tawang by evening. Overnight stay in Tawang. Distance: approx. 140 km | Travel time: 5-6 hrs

Day 3

Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake

After breakfast, we head to Bumla Pass on the Indo-China border, then continue to Madhuri Lake before returning to Tawang. The evening is free to explore the local market. Overnight stay in Tawang. Distance: approx. 80 km | Travel time: 5-6 hrs

Day 4

Tawang to Bomdila

After breakfast, we visit Tawang Monastery before starting the return drive, crossing Sela Pass again and stopping at Jung Falls along the way. We reach Bomdila by evening. Overnight stay in Bomdila. Distance: approx. 180 km | Travel time: 6-7 hrs

Day 5

Bomdila to Ziro

After breakfast, we begin the long drive to Ziro Valley, routing via Tezpur and Itanagar into the Apatani region. This is the longest driving day of the trip, we reach Ziro by evening. Overnight stay in Ziro. Distance: approx. 360 km | Travel time: 9-10 hrs

Day 6

Ziro Valley Exploration

Today is spent exploring Ziro at a relaxed pace: the paddy fields, traditional Apatani villages, local monasteries, and a few of the valley's best viewpoints. We return to the stay by evening. Overnight stay in Ziro.

Day 7

Ziro to Guwahati

After breakfast, we begin the return drive to Guwahati, reaching by evening for your onward journey. Distance: approx. 420 km | Travel time: 10-11 hrs
